Berzelia abrotanoides, commonly known as redlegs, is a species of flowering plant in the family Bruniaceae native to the Western Cape region of South Africa. The foliage and dried flower heads are used in the cut flower industry.
It grows on coastal sands. Has an upright resprouting shrub to 1.5m, growing on coastal flats. 1mm wide leaves are keeled and elliptic in shape; white fluffy flowers are 6-10mm in diameter and borne in clusters at the ends of branches. Striking red, fleshy outgrowths on the flower stalks.
