Sandy or stony mountainsides

Shrublet with grey woolly branches and prickly narrow leaves, shiny green above and woolly below. Flowerhead with numerous posy-like groups, surrounded by outer buff coloured hairy bracts; flowerheads on long stalks; attractive deep-red in bud.
