Information
Four-sisters Heath
Erica fastigiata
Four-sister heath must be the easiest Erica to identify. It has a very distinctive grouping of four flowers at the end of each flowering branch. Each flower has a pink “mouth”. How pretty is that! We have observed E. Fastigiata in seepage areas close to the sea, where they form dense and widespread populations. We have also seen magnificent stands in the mountains around Rooiels.
