Information
Narrow-leaf Oxeye, Ox-eye Daisy, (Eng)Witmagriet (Afr). This genus produces 2 types of seed from the same flower; one adapted to wind dispersal, the other adapted to fall directly onto the soil surface beneath the plant.
Leaves narrow, grass-like, toothed; flowerheads radiate, solitary, on elongated stalks, white rays with purple to copper on reverse and a purple disc of florets. Flowers more profusely after fire.
