Leucadendron laureolum (Golden Conebush) is a 1–2m tall,
upright, evergreen shrub in the Proteaceae family, native to South Africa. It
is prized for its bright yellow winter bracts (July–Aug) and yellow, woody
cones that form on female plants. These drought-tolerant, wind-resistant, and
fire-adapted plants are ideal for sunny, well-drained, acidic soil.

hairless, leathery leaves.
Winter Color: Both male and female plants turn bright yellow
in winter.
